Yuwen Chen currently is a Professor of Supply Chain Management at the University of Rhode Island and the Director of Online Program of M.S. in Healthcare Management. Yuwen has been involved in graduate-level business teaching for 10 years, including Operations and Supply Chain Management, Lean and Six Sigma, Data Visualization and Analytics, and Supply Chain doctoral seminars. He also has coached MBA students to work on business projects for business partners, such as Ocean State Job Lot, IGT, FM Global, URI Coastal Resource Center, Rhode Island Food Policy Council, Rhode Island TF Green Airport, Schneider Electric, etc. He encourages students to understand the complexity and interconnectivity of the business world. His research papers are shown in the areas of new product development, operations and supply chain management, and logistics/transportation. His publications are shown in the journals of Production and Operations Management, Decision Sciences, Supply Chain Management: an International Journal, Decision Sciences in Innovative Education, Interfaces, Journal of Business Research, and European Journal of Operational Research.
