CBA team takes first place in national marketing challenge

The College’s Social Media for Marketing class was one of 20 in the nation to compete in the 2016 Acura ILX Marketing Challenge. Their goal—to create a campaign that would reach the millennial marketplace. The URI team won first place and Acura awarded the University a $5,000 scholarship in recognition of the team’s achievement. Congratulations to Professor Christy Ashley and the whole team!

Every Tuesday and Thursday morning, about 15 students enter Ballantine Hall, Room 103, for The Ram Fund class. In most classrooms, the students settle down, open their notebooks and patiently wait for the professor to start his or her lecture. However, the Ram Fund class is a bit different.

Assistant Professor Stephen Atlas has received a $176,522 research grant from the National Endowment for Financial Education to study relationships between financial education, financial capability, and financial behaviors.
