The Pacific-Basin Capital Markets Research Center was established in 1989 at URI to meet the growing demand for information relevant to Asia-Pacific capital markets. The PACAP Databases provides historical research data for Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand.

The Pacific-Basin Capital Markets Research Center provides information on the capital markets in the Pacific-Basin region. The PACAP Research Center serves the securities industry, financial service industry, government, multilateral development institutions, and academia. Since its inception, PACAP has become recognized internationally as the leading research institute on Asian capital markets.
