The Maximizing Access to Research Careers (MARC) Undergraduate Student Training in Academic Research (U*STAR) program is a research and professional development program supported by the NIH/NIGMS for undergraduate students from underrepresented backgrounds. MARC is a full-time, two-year program designed to increase the number of underrepresented (URM) students pursuing graduate degrees, e.g. Ph.D., in the biomedical sciences.
