Kelley Woodacre, a 2012 graduate of the CELS Landscape Architecture program, is one of 41 students nationally to be honored in the Landscape Architecture Foundation’s Olmsted Scholars Program.
Some 35 high school students from around Rhode Island, all members of the Aquidneck Island Robotics 4-H Club, placed fifth in the first Robotics Competition World Championship held recently in St. Louis, MO.
Kathryn Weller, a student in the CELS Department of Nutrition and Food Sciences who will receive her master of science in nutrition in May, recently won an award for the abstract that was part of her thesis.

Two CELS students have been awarded the prestigious the Barry M. Goldwater Scholarships for 2012. Awarded under the Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Program, the scholarships go to students in the STEM disciplines and will assist them with their graduate tuitions.
