About the Program
The URI Energy Fellows Program was established in 2008 to engage and train students passionate about careers in sustainable energy. Over 200 students have completed program requirements; three out of four program graduates go on to work full time in the clean energy sector as corporate energy managers, federal and state policymakers, business owners, data analysts, renewable energy developers and educators.
Each year, top energy companies and organizations partner with URI Cooperative Extension to mentor URI Energy Fellows on real-world projects and creating a robust feedback loop between industry, the policy community, advocates and academia. The Energy Fellows Program serves as a premier talent pipeline for entry- to mid-level professionals with a comprehensive understanding of the rapidly changing energy industry. Want to learn more?
