Why carry cash?
Ram Account is a part of every valid URI ID card – just add funds to activate it. It is a debit account with no bank fees accepted all over campus from all Dining Services’ facilities to the Campus Store, designated laundry and vending machines, and so much more. Your URI ID is all you need on-campus! Plus, dozens of off-campus retailers from Kingston through Wakefield and Narragansett accept it as well. Nicotine, vape products, and alcohol can not be purchased with Ram Account.
All meal plans come with Ram Account. That means the initial funds pre-loaded into the account at the time of purchase are billed in your tuition payments! Select a plan with the highest Ram Account starting balance for the most flexibility!
To use your Ram Account funds, you must present your URI ID card in person. Just look for the “Ram Account Accepted Here” sign. The account will automatically be debited for the amount of purchase. You can manage your account online on the GET Mobile App, or in-person at the Campus ID & Dining Office in the Memorial Union.
You can add funds at any time right online!
Balances transfer from year to year until your graduate or withdraw from the university, at which time you may request a refund.*
*Refunds
After you graduate or withdraw from the university, you may request a refund for any remaining balance of funds you have added to the account. (Initial Ram Account funds that may have been included with your Meal Plan purchase are non-refundable.) You must request your refund within three months of graduation or effective withdrawal date. There is $10.00 processing fee. Funds are returned via paper check.

Does my meal plan come with Ram Account?
Most meal plans come with Ram Account already activated. That means these initial funds are pre-loaded and billed as part of your tuition payments! Take advantage and select a plan with the highest pre-set Ram Account funds!
Can I have Ram Account if I don’t have a meal plan?
Yes! Actually, all active student and employee ID cards have Ram Account available, you just need to activate it by adding funds. Contact the Campus ID & Dining Office to get started! 401.874.2055.
