Welcome to the College of Engineering file server!

All COE users have access to space on the COE file server at share.egr.uri.edu.

To access the space from a Windows machine on campus just type the following into any Windows folder address bar or the start menu search bar.  Do NOT type this into a web browser.

\\share.egr.uri.edu

You will then be presented with a login screen. Use your EGR username and password.

On an OS X machine, from the Finder, select Go > Connect to server and type the following:

smb://share.egr.uri.edu

If you came here instead, you may have forgotten the double backslashes “\\” before share.egr.uri.edu.

The file server only works with machines on campus.  To access your file space from off-campus, use a SFTP connection to share.egr.uri.edu.
