Students Create Economics Inspired Games

As part of their final project, students from ECN 327, Intermediate Macroeconomics with Dr Jain, were asked to create or adapt games that represent key features of the economy. Students made adaptations of card games, computer games, including a “Who Wants to be an Economist” trivia game and a Jeopardy inspired computer game, and even classics such as the game of life.

The featured team created a “Degree Dash” game where players navigate through a board with actions, choices, policy cards, and cash cards that represent the factors that affect environmental policies and practices in an economy. A photo of the board game and the needed cards are attached. Find out if your business can survive this simulation of the economy.
