Olivia Tellefsen, of Cornwall, New York was awarded the 2018 University Academic Excellence Award for her outstanding academic performance in Economics. Olivia entered the University of Rhode Island in September of 2014. She began her college career as a double major in Secondary Education and Mathematics.

Colleen Stadelmann grew up in Westerly, Rhode Island as one of four children. Colleen started at the University of Rhode Island believing she would study science, but was inspired to pursue Economics after taking ECN 201 with Professor Mead.

Kirsten Leikem graduated from URI in 2012 with degrees in Economics and Political Science. Kirsten added economics as a second major after taking Professor Mead’s introduction to macroeconomics course, where she learned about the forces of supply and demand.
