Heidi Burke Cianfarani Endowed Scholarship

Heidi Burke Cianfarani ’92, M’00, has established an endowed scholarship in the Feinstein College of Education to support Rhode Island students, particularly those graduating from Warwick public schools, and want to pursue a career in education.

Cianfarani, who graduated with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in elementary education from URI, has taught in the Warwick school department for 32 years.

She began her teaching career as an elementary science specialist, then taught 6th grade for 20 years, and has been teaching 3rd grade at Cedar Hill Elementary School for the last 10 years.  

“By investing in these aspiring teachers, I hope to help them make a meaningful and lasting impact on their communities while contributing to the growth and enrichment of the teaching profession,” she said. “It is my hope that this scholarship will inspire and empower future educators, just as I was once encouraged to pursue my own passion for teaching at the University of Rhode Island.”
