Kristy Yankee is an educational leader with over 20 years of experience in public education. She believes meaningful learning happens when students are challenged, supported, and inspired.

Yankee began her career as a French teacher and later served as K–12 Director of World Languages. After years of teaching ninth grade, she recognized the need to prepare students for high school before their first day of classes. To address that need, Yankee co-developed one of Massachusetts’s early eighth-to-ninth-grade transition programs. Building on that work, she created a Senior Project Program in which high school seniors completed internships, worked with faculty and community mentors, and culminated their experience in a capstone exhibition. The program became a model for other districts, with internship placements ranging from local organizations to opportunities across the United States and internationally.

Yankee has led curriculum initiatives and professional learning while serving in instructional leadership roles, including seven years as Assistant Principal at Dedham High School in Dedham, Massachusetts. She has also served on the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts School Administrators’ Association.

Yankee is honored to serve on the Dean’s Advisory Council and to give back to the institution that provided the foundation for her career in education.
