Biography
Dr. Song (he/him) serves as the director of the Intercultural Student Engagement center, at Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). There he facilitates awareness, knowledge, and skill-oriented learning opportunities for faculty, staff, and students that address and advance the success of underrepresented student populations and historically marginalized groups. He also engages in various committees, task forces, and working groups directly involved with student diversity, equity, and inclusion-related recruitment, retention, success, and advancement. He also serves as a resource person and consultant in the area of social equity and inclusion practices.

Thoughts on Teaching in CSP
It gives me great pleasure and honor to teach in a program that played a major role in helping me understand how to best work with college students. I want to be able to provide a unique and transformative experience for future student affairs professionals and provide them with some useful resources to not only charter their own academic journey but to also equip them with knowledge to challenge and disrupt systems of oppression.
