Financial Assistance

• There are various test and service fees associated with Praxis testing, but you might be eligible for a fee waiver through Educational Testing Service (ETS) if you meet certain criteria. To be considered for the ETS fee waiver, documentation must be received well ahead of your test date.
Fee waivers are granted on a first-come, first-served basis, and only given
out one time per year to a given student.

•In addition, the School of Education recently received a grant to help
students in significant financial need pay for required tests.
Documentation will be required to be considered for a grant. For more
information, please contact Marsha Mott at 401.874.4068.

Accommodations

• If you have a documented disability through Disability Services here at URI, you may qualify for testing accommodations with ETS. Be sure to seek assistance from URI disability Services in Memorial Union early, as requests to ETS for accommodations take several weeks to process.

If you are a test taker whose primary language is not English (PLNE), you may qualify for extended time when taking these tests.
NOTE: For either option above, several documents must be completed and mailed in to ETS with you register, so please plan ahead!

About Test Scores

• All score reports are accessed online via you’re my Praxis account. Praxis I Core scored will be available 10 to 16 days after test date. Learn more about getting your scores.

Scores are available online for 1 year; after that you have to pay to obtain them. Make sure to print a copy of your scores and save them to your hard drive or a thumb drive!

Re-taking Tests

• You may re-take Praxis Core test(s) once every 21 days, not including
your original test date.
