Presentation Award Earned By URI Biomedical Engineering Student at National Conference

Sabrina Delva, a senior majoring in biomedical engineering at URI, received a Presentation Award at the Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students for her eposter and lightning talk on “A Thermoresponsive Photoink for Hydrogel-Based 3D Cell Culture.”

The Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students is one of the largest gatherings for minority students, including students with disabilities, to pursue advanced training in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

A native of New York City, Sabrina is a trainee in URI’s Maximizing Access to Research Careers (MARC) Undergraduate Student Training in Academic Research (U*STAR) Program.
