Tonya McBride serves as commercial excellence chair at Avient Corporation, headquartered in Avon Lake, OH. Tonya has been employed with Avient (formerly PolyOne) for 9 years in roles including business development manager and sales manager within the Specialty Engineered Materials Division. Her current responsibilities as commercial excellence chair showcase Tonya’s passion for identifying and implementing best sales practices throughout Avient’s global footprint of business units.

Tonya is an IEP alumnus who completed two Bachelor’s degrees, a BS in Chemical Engineering and a BA in German, which included a semester at the Technische Universitaet Braunschweig, followed by an internship at Hoechst AG in Frankfurt. In 2007, she earned her MBA from the University of Louisville. Prior to joining Avient, Tonya held commercial leadership and sales roles with Toray Plastics (America), Inc. and Zeon Chemicals L.P., as well as her first role upon graduation from URI as a process engineer with Teknor Apex Company in the Vinyl and TPE Divisions.
