URI College of Engineering undergraduate students are encouraged to apply for one of the Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) programs described below.

Both programs run for 10 weeks, from May 20 to July 26, and have an application deadline of Feb. 15.

RI C-AIM SURF

(RI Consortium for Coastal Ecology Assessment, Innovation, & Modeling)

Collaborate with engineers and scientists from eight higher education institutions to assess, predict and respond to the effects of climate change on coastal ecosystems.
