The Graduate Student Association of the University of Rhode Island, Kingston, Rhode Island is
pleased to present to you the 2026 Graduate Student Conference. This year’s conference which
happens to be the 15th student conference meeting is a two-day event dedicated to celebrating
the scholarly achievements and research excellence of URI graduate students happening on
Friday, March 27th, and Saturday, March 28th.

If you would like to participate in the conference with either an oral presentation or a poster presentation, please submit your abstracts here by March 1st, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.

This conference is an opportunity to showcase the breadth and importance of graduate research across disciplines, and to highlight how diverse methods, perspectives, and questions contribute to shared goals of innovation and change for a better future. We welcome submissions from students at all stages of their graduate careers and from all fields of study. Participants will have the chance to present their work, engage in interdisciplinary dialogue, and connect with fellow graduate researchers and experts from across campus.

The two keynotes for the event are Dr. Steven Cohen of the Department of Public Health, College of Health Sciences at URI and Dr. Paul Wolff III of the Building Construction Department at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst.

The Graduate Student Conference affirms the University’s commitment to fostering academic
