ASSISTANTSHIP CONTRACT PORTAL

2024-2025 GA Contract submission portal will be available July 1, 2024

All assistantship appointment letters are initated through the Adobe Acrobat Sign platform. Once a contract is signed by all parties, the contract must be submitted through the Assistantship Contract Submission portal with an SGA-2G form, if applicable.

For SGA-2G forms, please do not submit the forms directly to the approving departments (e.g. Foundation Office or Office of Sponsored Projects), hand-deliver, or through interoffice mail. Once the form is submitted through the portal, the approving departments will review the forms based on the funding source.


GA Contract Deadlines:

*IMPORTANT: Contracts must be submitted by the deadline to ensure students can enroll in their contractual benefits (e.g. health/dental insurance and parking permit). If you need an extension, please submit an inquiry form immediately.

2024-2025 Fall & AY Assistantship Deadlines:

July 26, 2024 –  Deadline for all GAs to receive and sign their assistantship contract for Fall and Academic Year appointments. (reference section 3.3  URIGAU contract)

August 16, 2024 – Fall and Academic Year contracts MUST be submitted to the Graduate School submission portal.

2025 Spring Assistantship Deadlines:

November 29, 2024 – Deadline for all GAs to receive and sign their assistantship contract for Spring appointments. (reference section 3.3  URIGAU contract)

December 20, 2024 – Spring contracts MUST be submitted to the Graduate School submission portal.


Terminatation / Changes to GA Contracts:

The Graduate School MUST receive notice of ALL terminatations and changes to assistantship contracts.  Submit a Contract Change Form and CC Kathy Kantor at kathykantor@uri.edu or provide her with a copy of the form.
