Learning Outcomes

Students enrolled in the Public Relations Program will be immersed in critical thinking, analysis, and writing opportunities to refine their understanding of major concepts and theories associated with Public Relations trends and initiatives. 

Graduates of the Public Relations program at the University of Rhode Island will:

• Leverage digital and social media platforms to enhance public relations efforts and engage with stakeholders.
• Critically evaluate and apply public relations theories, philosophies, and practices to real-world scenarios.
• Communicate effectively in written, oral, and visual formats, tailored to diverse audiences and contexts.
• Demonstrate ethical decision-making and social responsibility in public relations practices.
• Utilize data analytics and research methods to inform strategic public relations initiatives.
