The URI volunteers partnered with Habitat for Humanity and other local organizations to build houses destroyed by flooding, work in a food bank, plant trees, and more. This trip was Maya’s third year of being part of an alternative spring break trip with the URI Service Corps, She has previously traveled to New Mexico and South Carolina.

Dr. Sabik recently published a cross-sectional study (n=123) in the Journal of Women & Aging.
