Apply for Housing
Spring Semester Only
Beginning November 4th, 2024, the Department of Housing and Residential Life invites newly admitted and currently enrolled URI students who do not presently live in the residence halls to apply to live with us for the spring semester. No housing deposit is required.
NOTE: Incoming first-year and transfer students for Spring 2025 who pay a $500 enrollment/housing deposit will have the $200 housing portion of the deposit credited towards their Spring university charges.
Students will be assigned in the order their application is received after the Fall semester is complete (December 20, 2024). Students will be contacted by phone and/or their URI email when their assignment has been made. Students will not have the opportunity to select their own assignment; spaces will be offered based on availability and eligibility. Typically we have been able accommodate all students desiring spring housing. All new spring housing assignments will be posted in URI My Housing by Friday, January 12, 2025.
All new resident student IDs will be active on January 16th for the spring semester. If you need to arrive a few days earlier, for any reason, once you have your housing assignment, you can log in to URI My Housing and complete the Winter Break/J-Term Housing form to activate your ID to access your room. Your ID and PIN are used to unlock your room door. PINs are posted in URI My Housing. Early spring arrivals will incur no additional charges.
To submit a Spring Semester Housing Application:
- Log into MyApps
- Select URI My Housing
- Select “Spring Housing Application” from the menu
- Make sure to complete all pages
