2024 Move-In Dates
- Incoming first year students will move in Friday, August 30th or Saturday, August 31st.
- Incoming transfer students will move in on the day their building is scheduled to open.
- Returning students will move in on Sunday September 1st and Monday September 2nd.
Students will be able to select their move-in times based on their scheduled move-in dates once Housing Assignments are posted.
- Students scheduled to move in on Friday, August 31st can select a move-in time starting on Tuesday, July 30th.
- Students scheduled to move in on Saturday, September 1st can select a move-in time starting on Wednesday, July 31st.
- Students scheduled to move in on Sunday, September 2nd can select a move-in time starting on Thursday, August 1st.
- Students scheduled to move in on Monday, September 3rd can select a move-in time starting on Friday, August 2nd.
*If you need a later move-in date, no worries! Your ID and PIN is active for move-in weekend! Please be advised that our staff will be assisting move-in at other buildings but we will have someone available in the staff office should you encounter any issues..

Meal plans will begin on August 30th, but perhaps with restricted service.
Students who may be participating in some URI special programs (e.g. Athletics, Band, Chinese Flagship, Leadership, ROTC, etc.) may have the opportunity to move in earlier than September 1st. Students should work with their program coordinator for details, including possible additional costs.
