Minor: Nutrition

Currently: Accelerated Bachelor of Science Program, Northeastern University, Boston MA

I graduated from URI in May 2018. I now attend Northeastern University in their accelerated Bachelor of Science in nursing degree. Here, I have been placed in clinicals at some of the most prestigious hospitals, such as Brigham and Women’s and Boston Children’s. After this 16-month program, I will continue on to become a Nurse Practitioner (either neonatal or pediatrics). I see myself working in the PICU or NICU. Four years ago, I thought I was set on being a PT, until I was an intern at South County Hospital through the URI Kin program. This opened doors for both connections and opportunities. I also made close bonds to my URI advisor, as well as Dr. Ward-Ritacco and Dr. Gaines. With their guidance and support, I applied to graduate schools and didn’t look back. URI KIN set me up for a future full of growth. My one piece of advice to current students is to explore all of your options; KIN is so much more than just PT!
