Bree Wisseman

Biography

Dr. Wisseman is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of Kinesiology at URI. She completed her B.S. in Exercise Science with a minor in Coaching Education and M.S. in Kinesiology, concentrating in Exercise Physiology, both from James Madison University in Virginia. She received her Ph.D. in Bioenergetics and Exercise Science, concentrating in Exercise Physiology and Behavioral Science, at East Carolina University in North Carolina. Dr. Wisseman has over 6 years of experience working with undergraduate, graduate, and professional students across multiple academic courses and research projects. Some of her interests include exercise testing & prescription and exercise physiology in special populations. Specifically, she is interested in how exercise impacts maternal and child health during pregnancy and the postpartum period.
