Biography
Susan E. D’Andrea, Ph.D. is the Principal Investigator in the MotionVR Biomechanics Lab which uses motion capture, virtual and augmented reality, inertial sensor and neurostimulation technology to understand the biomechanical parameters of movement related to neurodegenerative disease, prosthetics, cognitive function and sports performance. Dr. D’Andrea’s clinical projects are focused on developing virtual and augmented reality games for rehabilitation in stroke, cerebral palsy and for adults with mild cognitive impairment. Additionally, she uses the lab technology to evaluate sports performance related to movement and injury.
