 Examines environmental, economic, and social dimensions of sustainable development in global contexts.

 This course introduces students to the field of Sustainable Development: development that meets the needs of present generations without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. In the class, we explore many different topics related to sustainable development, mainly from a global perseptive. Students will become familiar with the how and the why of development, and with the UN Sustainable Development Goals as an organizing framework to understand some of the key concepts, goals, and conflicts in global sustainable development.
