Maple syrup, a healthier sweetener option for diabetic individuals.

New research conducted by Mylène Brochu, Claude-Paul Lafrance and EricLandry Maxim Maheux, suggests that the integration of maple products as a replacement of refined sugars should be considered. This is because maple products contain more nutrients compared to other sweeteners.

This innovative research focused on the study of the molecular structure of maple syrup, and the different sugars that make up this delicious sweetener. During this study, researchers focused on studying the different components that make up this delicious sweetener.

Different complex methods were used to identify its components, these methods included the separation of all molecules through dialysis filtration.

The main finding in this research was that maple syrup contains polysaccharides, a type of sugar that acts as a healthy bacteria beneficial for a healthy gut. This makes it is evident that there are endless benefits of consuming maple syrup!
