Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree

Prerequisites

  • At least two semesters of Chemistry
  • One semester each of:
    • Biochemistry
    • Anatomy or Biology
    • Human Physiology
    • Nutrition
    • Statistics
    • Advanced nutrition (with a biochemistry prerequisite)
    • Advanced statistics (with a math prerequisite)

Students from other academic areas are encouraged to apply but must have the prerequisites listed above. Read more about degree requirements.

How to Apply

  1. Identify a faculty member you would like to conduct research under.
  2. Submit an online application to the URI Graduate School. Please refer to the Graduate School description of the application process for information on the University’s application deadlines.
