M.S. in Nutrition

Curriculum

The program requires a minimum of 30 credits, including a Master’s Thesis (6 credits).

Required Courses

NUT 505 Methods in Nutrition Research 3 credits
NUT 553 Nutrient Metabolism I 3 credits
NUT 554 Nutrient Metabolism II 3 credits
NUT 511 Seminar in Nutrition and Food Science I two semesters
1 credit each
At least three credits in 400- or 500-level science courses
Three credits in a 400-or 500-level statistics course

All resident students are required to be continuously registered in NUT 511 or 512, but no more than two credits of NUT 511 or NUT 512 can be used for program credit.

Applicants without undergraduate training in Nutrition may be required to make up background courses without graduate credit.
