About:
Jim Crosby is a retired high school teacher and Lay Chaplain. In the fall of 2018, he founded Nonviolent Austin. Long a student of Gandhi and King, he is excited about combining his love of learning with increasing activism for social change, healing the relationships of humans with each other, their fellow species, and the Earth. His major influences and passions include the writing of Wendell Berry, the guitar music of Rev. Gary Davis, and the films of Terrence Malick. He is currently discussing with a small group of friends the possibility of starting a nonviolence training center in central Texas.
