After witnessing the tragedy of the Sandy Hook massacre as a teacher in 2012, I retired in 2014 from 32 years of teaching to take my pain and make propane! My  personal mission is to create peaceful school communities using the tools of  nonviolence and to eliminate gun violence by helping to create common sense gun  laws. Currently I work as a trainer and mentor for Nonviolent Schools Rhode Island. In addition, I work as an activist for the Rhode Island Coalition Against Gun Violence by  testifying and speaking at gun rallies to create common sense gun laws in Rhode  Island.
