75 for 75: Nominate URI College of Nursing luminaries

College seeks to highlight excellence in nursing during its 75th anniversary year

Do you know a URI College of Nursing graduate has made a particular impact on health care in the community? A faculty member who inspired you above all others to succeed? A clinical preceptor who made a lasting impact on your career development?

As the College of Nursing celebrates its 75th anniversary beginning this fall, it is looking to highlight those associated with the College whose light shines the brightest. These luminaries will be featured throughout the year as the College acknowledges its role in the region’s health care over the past 75 years.

The nominees should be individuals who have excelled in contributions to professional practice, education, research and/or advancement of the College. The individual should demonstrate an interest and commitment to the mission and vision of the College, and have impactful contributions to the profession of nursing and/or the College of Nursing.

Nominees should be alumni, faculty members, or individuals who have championed advancement of the URI College of Nursing. In addition, alumni who have graduated in the past 10 years and have demonstrated important and promising accomplishments are eligible.

Nominations can be made online at the College’s 75th Anniversary website, or submitted by email to Sophia_mayhew@my.uri.edu.

A committee will review all nominations, and decisions will be reflective of stated criteria. Nominations must be received by Aug. 31, 2020 to be eligible.
