Biography
Dr. Sandra Basley is a Clinical Associate Professor at the College of Nursing with practice expertise in the area of medical-surgical nursing, with an emphasis in cardiac, orthopedic, and medical oncology/hematology client care. In addition, her scholarly interests include double-duty caregiving-nurses caring for family members with a focus on end-of-life care. Professional interests also include innovative and interdisciplinary health care education. She is nationally certified in medical-surgical nursing and as a nurse educator. She is president of the Delta Upsilon at-large chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society for Nursing.
Basley is currently a member of the Rhode Island Collaborative for Interprofessional Education and Practice and the Rhode Island Interprofessional Community Preceptor Institute.
