College identifies 75 nursing leaders to have come through the College as part of its 75th Anniversary
In celebration of its 75th anniversary, the University of Rhode Island College of Nursing is taking a look back at the most important resource the College has — the people who have roamed its hallways and continue to make an enormous impact on the health care community.
A team of college personnel and alumni have scoured the history books to identify 75 “luminaries” who represent some of the best nurses and nurse scientists to have come through the nursing program over the years. The Luminaries have excelled in contributions to professional practice, education, research and/or advancement of the College itself. Each individual has demonstrated an interest and commitment to the mission and vision of the college and have made lasting contributions to the profession of nursing and/or the College.
The Luminaries are alumni, faculty members or individuals who have championed advancement of the URI College of Nursing. The college and the entire health care community owe them a debt of gratitude for their rnormous contributions to the profession. The Luminaries include:
