Biography

Joan Dugas, PhD(c), RN, CNE is a Clinical Associate Professor with clinical experience in medical/surgical, pediatric, community health, and gerontological nursing. Her areas of interest are aging, care of older adults, innovative teaching strategies, and preparing nursing students for the NCLEX licensing examination. She is a nationally certified nurse educator (CNE). She is a member of the Nursing Foundation of Rhode Island Board of Directors and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society for Nursing. She is currently completing the PhD program at the University of Rhode Island.
