Ocean Engineering Ph.D.

Program Requirements

A total of 42 credits beyond the M.S. degree (or 72 credits beyond the B.S. degree), composed of at least 18 credits of course work and 24 credits of dissertation research.

Courses must include one in advanced applied mathematics, one in engineering or oceanography, and a minimum of two in ocean engineering.

EGR 515 counts towards the minimum of two courses in ocean engineering requirement. Qualifying, written, and oral comprehensive examinations are required for all doctoral students. OCE 605 and 606 are required for all full-time students.
