We are assessing tern and plover fight behavior near the Block Island Wind Farm to determine exposure risk. We are attaching miniature digital VHF radio transmitters to two federally-list species, Piping Plover and Roseate Terns, and developing cutting-edge receivers to monitor flight behavior near the only active wind farm in North America. 2018-2020.
