Who We Serve
We welcome URI undergraduate and graduate students, as well as members of the local Rhode Island community, who experience systemic oppression and social marginalization, have historically faced barriers to mental health care, and whose experiences of minoritization directly impact their mental health. This includes, but is not limited to:
- BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) community members
- First-generation students
- Immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers
- International community members
- LGBTQ+ individuals
- People experiencing financial hardship
- People with disabilities
- People with undocumented status, refugees, asylum seekers, or displaced persons
- Religious and spiritual minorities
- People from rural, medically underserved, and geographically isolated communities
- Older adults and aging populations
