Be the Change

December 4, 2013: URI’s APhA-ASP chapter has submitted their entry into the annual APhA-ASP video competition. This year’s theme was “Be the Change” which the team approached by creating a music video with which adapts Michael Jackson’s Man in the Mirror with original pharmacy related lyrics. The chapter assembled a team to produce the video with pharmacy students being joined by Bianca Sperduti a physics major signing the lyrics.

Not only is it a call to patients, but also a call to pharmacists that their integral role must be taken seriously.

The product of this collaboration is a video titled “Man in the White Coat” which portrays the excitement the students have about taking an active role in patient care and displays the importance of pharmacists in healthcare. They want to spread the word that pharmacists are here to help patients understand and become a part of their own health.
