Patrick Dumas, B.S.P.S. ’16 – Health Policy Advisor for the House Budget Committee Republicans

Patrick Dumas is Health Policy Advisor for the House Budget Committee Republicans at the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington, DC. As a Health Policy Advisor, Patrick is the committee lead on health care matters governed by Congress and their unique budgetary impact. The job entails writing and researching health care legislation, planning committee hearings and mark-ups, engaging with various health care stakeholders on relevant issues, and educating members of Congress and their staff on the costs and other effects of proposed policy. Prior to serving in this role Patrick was Health Policy Advisor for Bruce Westerman (R-AR), a senior consultant for PhRMA in Washington DC, and previously worked in the pharmaceutical industry as a research associate for Pfizer (Groton, CT) and Sanofi Genzyme (Waltham, MA). Patrick graduated from the University of Rhode Island College of Pharmacy BSPS program in 2016.
