URI College of Pharmacy professors hosted the high school-aged students in Avedisian Hall
Students from Global Science & Envirotech, Inc.’s STEAM summer camp stopped by the URI College of Pharmacy last week for a lesson on medicinal compounding, and a tour through the Youngken Medicinal Garden outside Avedisian Hall.
Professors Jie Shen, Matthew Lacroix and Erica Estus led the students through activities in the Compounding Lab, and Garden Coordinator Elizabeth Liebovitz conducted tours through the garden, where students worked on identifying medicinal plants.
