Biography
Dr. Cohen’s community practice site is at a CVS regional business office in Lincoln, Rhode Island. This is where she helps to develop community practice sites and community preceptors. She precepts Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) students participating in community-based services including diabetes education programs. She has research sites at the VA Medical Center in Providence and at the Department of Corrections in Cranston where she provides diabetes and cardiovascular education and clinical/research support for ambulatory care conditions.
Research
Research interest is in patients with diabetes and other cardiovascular risk factors, such as hyperlipidemia and hypertension. Didactic responsibilities include self-care lectures on nutrition supplementation, ear and ear care, diabetes and foot care. Other didactic responsibilities include hypertension, men’s health, and endocrine conditions.
