Biography

Dr. Thomas Lavoie received his Pharm.D. from MCPHS University in 2019. From there he has practiced as a clinical pharmacist, starting as a community pharmacist at Walgreens before working at both Martha’s Vineyard Hospital and Holy Family Hospital. He would go on to found and chair the antimicrobial stewardship committee at Martha’s Vineyard Hospital and then obtain additional training at the Rhode Island Infectious Diseases Research Program, as the 18^th fellow mentored by Dr. Kerry Laplante. Dr. Lavoie’s current research interests include antimicrobial synergy, enterococcal infections and bacterial resistance
