Biography

Dr. Eisenhower focuses her teaching and scholarly activities on geriatric pharmacotherapy, interdisciplinary care, and chronic disease management. Her practice site is the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly of Rhode Island (PACE-RI). She is an editorial board member for the Annals of Pharmacotherapy and the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society. She is a collaborator in the Rhode Island Geriatrics Workforce Enhancement Program (GWEP) and a faculty member of the Rhode Island Geriatric Education Center (RIGEC). She has served on advisory panels for the Pharmacy Quality Alliance and the Gerontological Society of America. She is a member of the American Geriatrics Society and the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy. Dr. Eisenhower volunteers for the Rhode Island Medical Reserve Corps.

Research

Dr. Eisenhower’s research interests include management of potentially inappropriate medications in older adults; deprescribing of medications; inhaler technique; and medication safety in osteoporosis and menopause.
