Learning doesn’t just happen in a classroom.
At URI, we believe learning happens in a variety of ways including through work and life experiences, industry certifications, and military service. If you have prior learning experiences, for example, from the workforce, a certificate program, training, apprenticeship, licensure, the military, or elsewhere, you may qualify to earn college credit at URI.
Through our Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) program, students can receive college credit for their college-level learning that has occurred outside of the traditional academic environment.
