Faculty and their colleges are responsible for complying with the University’s summer recontracting policy per the Provost’s Summer Recontracting memo. The policy applies to academic year faculty only (calendar year faculty may not receive additional compensation in the summer) and covers summer compensation for teaching summer courses, carrying out sponsored research activities, serving as department chair, and/or any other summer duties.
Within each college, the business manager is the primary contact for initiating summer recontracting. Requests for summer recontracting are made by downloading the SR-1 form. This form is to be used for summer recontracting only. Please be advised that processing of salary requests on the SR-1 form must occur prior to the start of work.
