Practice and Field Experience

The amount and type of clinical exposure and training is determined by your prior training and experience and is provided within the guidelines of client welfare and professional ethics. You will begin clinical training by attending Psychological Consultation Center (PCC) staff meetings and observing therapy sessions conducted by advanced graduate students and faculty. Beginning in the second semester, clinical training is provided in required practicum courses (e.g., Child Anxiety Program, Assessment, Multicultural) taken for academic credit in the PCC, the on-campus training clinic of the Psychology Department.
