RIGEC develops and offers an array of interprofessional geriatric education programs including continuing-education workshops, student development in gerontology and geriatrics, clinical training programs in interdisciplinary teamwork and geriatrics assessment, evidence-based practice improvement in acute care settings, and a variety of community-based educational programs related to health issues faced by older adults.

- RI Geriatrics ECHO Learning Series – Spring 2025 - Starting March, 27 this six-part series will focus on strategies to improve care for older adults with dementia based on the 4M framework for Age-Friendly Care. Sessions will take place bi-weekly on Thursdays from 7:30-8:30 a.m.
- Project ECHO: Growing Older with Lifelong Intellectual Disabilities: When Dementia is Suspected or Diagnosed - REGISTRATION OPEN! Starting in April 2025, this Project ECHO series seeks health care and human service providers who want to enhance their knowledge, competence, and performance related to the care of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities affected by dementia. Each ECHO session will include a short presentation by a topic expert, followed by a case study submitted in advance by an ECHO participant site, and then open discussion to learn from one another. Project ECHO is a free, practical, case-based education program.
