The Rhode Island Network for Excellence in Science & Technology (RI-NEST) proudly announces its first-ever cohort of Seed Grants, providing up to $70K in funding to support innovative research at institutions of higher education across the state.

RI NSF EPSCoR’s Rhode Island Network for Excellence in Science and Technology (RI-NEST) E-CORE project is excited to announce its inaugural Call for Projects for the Summer 2025 Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowships program, with a focused theme on the Blue Economy.

Inspired by their experience as participants in the Vis-a-Thon program supported through RI C-AIM and RISD’s Nature Lab, RI C-AIM postdoctoral fellows Dr. Tricia Thibodeau and Dr. Jongsun Kim were invited to serve as guest editors for JoVE and organize a Methods Collection titled, “Data Visualization in Marine Science”.

Five interdisciplinary research teams were selected to receive funding, totaling $399,239, from the Science & Technology Advisory Council (STAC) this year.
